Use a cuticle pusher to gently scrape the acrylic from the natural nail starting at the base of the nail bed and working your way to the tip. Rinse your hands with soap and water. This is a sign that the acrylic nail is coming off.
If there is still product that cant be buffed off soak for five more minutes and try. If enough of the acrylic has dissolved you can gently buff away the excess with the finer grit nail file. An electric nail file will make the process much easier and fast but you need to be careful not to go overboard and buff away your natural nails as well.
